MANAGER’S MEETING will be conducted via a ZOOM Call (log-in information will be sent via email).  It is mandatory that at least one coach or manager from each team attend. 

Monday, July 20, 2020 

TEAM CHECK-IN will be conducted at Camp Jordan Arena (323 Camp Jordan Pkwy, East Ridge, TN 37412) from 9am – 5pm. 

POOL PLAY GAMES - Pool Play will begin Monday Evening at 5pm. Games will be played at two locations, Camp Jordan and Jack Mattox. Pool play games count toward seeding.

DOUBLE ELIMINATION GAMES - Double Elimination will begin and continue through Saturday or Sunday if weather becomes an issue. Games will be played at Camp Jordan. Game location assignments are done randomly based on where you draw your position into bracket.

MANAGER’S MEETING 

ZOOM CALL AT 8PM EST ON THURSDAY, JULY 16TH. Mandatory that at least one coach from each team participate. Zoom call in number and passcode will be emailed to the party listed as the Manager on Tournament USA.

TEAM CHECK-IN 

TEAM CHECK-IN will be conducted at Camp Jordan Arena (323 Camp Jordan Pkwy, East Ridge, TN 37412).  Teams should check in together accompanied by the manager(s). Player picture identification is required. All players will sign in on the Tournament Signature Form and all coaches will show proof of background check/ACE certification as required per USA Softball.  All teams will be assigned a designated check-in time that has been emailed to the manager.  Teams will only be allowed entry into Camp Jordan Arena during their designated time and MUST wear masks upon entry.

BAT TESTING: WILL OCCUR AT TEAM CHECK IN. ALL BATS SHOULD BE PRESENTED BY THE COACH.  A USA Softball approved barrel compression testing machine shall be used at this USA Softball National Championship (USA Softball Code Article 310 C).

TEAM CHECK-IN PROCEDURES: 

  1. All players must be present along with team manager(s) 

  1. Picture identification is required (one of the following 3) 

  1. USA Softball Photo ID card 

  1. Government issued ID 

  1. Copy of a birth certificate stapled to a copy of their picture 

  1. Players are to lineup in the order as they are listed on the team’s Official USA Softball Championship Roster. 

  1. Pick-up players will be processed after regular roster players. A player pick-up form is required, and it must be signed by your local USA Softball Commissioner or his/her designee. 

  1. All players will be required to complete the Official USA Softball Tournament Signature Form. This form is provided at check in. 

  2. All coaches and athletes will be required to have the USA Softball COVID-19 Waiver Form with them at check-in.

  3. 10.If a team has submitted a copy of their official roster, then they must produce the original USA Softball Official Championship Roster at team check in in order to be eligible for tournament pool play 

  4. At least one coach must produce proof that they are ACE certified at team check in. 

  5. ALL coaches and personnel on the field and/or in the dugout during play must produce proof that they have a background check cleared through USA Softball. 

LATE PLAYER CHECK-IN:  

Late player check-in will start 1.5 hours before 1st game start time every day at the park. 

 

TOURNAMENT FORMAT & RULES 

TOURNAMENT FORMAT:  Three seeding pool play games followed by double elimination. Pool play will be held on JULY 21ST. The pool play games will seed the teams into the double elimination bracket.  Double elimination bracket play will begin on JULY 22ND with the championship game taking place on Saturday, JULY 25TH (weather permitting). 

TOURNAMENT DRAW: Pool Play draw will be completed pre-tournament per Article 511 of the USA Softball Code. Pool Play drawing will be held on July 14TH at 5pm and will be made available online at www.tournamentasa.com on July 15TH.  Bracket draw will be held on July 21ST, at Warner Park as pool play games are completed. A team coach has 1 hour to come to Warner Park Press Box upon the completion of his/her 2nd pool play game. More information about this process will be given at the manager’s meeting. 

GAME TIMES: Follow the times listed on the official tournament bracket posted at each field. Teams should be prepared to play ½ hour prior to game time. Teams not present at game time may be considered a forfeit. 

 

WEATHER 

In the event the tournament cannot be completed within the scheduled time frame, the procedures found in USA Softball Code Article 510 H. 02 will be used to determine the official order of finish. Games postponed in the event of inclement weather will be made up as determined by the tournament director.  It is the responsibility of the team manager to obtain inclement weather information. We will post inclement weather information on Tournament USA as soon as a decision is made by tournament officials. www.tournamentusasoftball.com gives us the ability to send out mass texts and mass emails with weather update. We will also send out texts to the number used on Tournament USA and emails to the email address used on Tournament USA Softball when teams were registered.
