CHATTANOOGA, Tenn. (March 18, 2020) - The Chattanooga Tourism Co. has launched Connect Chatt to bring people together digitally in Chattanooga and across the world who are practicing social distancing recommended by health professionals due to COVID-19. ConnectChatt is a collection of virtual experiences to unite neighbors in the community and connect people to Chattanooga. 

The Chattanooga Tourism Co. will be sharing the community’s virtual experiences through social media using the hashtag #ConnectChatt and online at The ConnectChatt virtual experience series kicked off on St. Patrick’s Day with a live performance from the Stringer’s Ridge Band, which played Irish tunes from home via Facebook Live. The social posts will include a way in which everyone can support Chattanoogans through virtual tipping, buying season passes, ordering takeout, etc. Stringer’s Ridge Band virtual tip jar generated about as much as a normal gig, and they played to more than 10,000 people. The Chattanooga Tourism Co. is collaborating with many community partners for this program including tourism attractions, businesses, SoundCorps, Rise Chattanooga and the Chattanooga Chamber. Follow @VisitChatt on social media for daily live and digital experiences like musical performances, animal cams at the Chattanooga Zoo and Tennessee Aquarium, downloadable activities and more.  

In addition, resources and webinars for industry professionals impacted by changes related to COVID-19 will be available online in the coming days at
