Leave your boat on the water and explore Chattanooga’s vibrant and compact downtown district. You can navigate the city on foot, aboard the free electric shuttle or one of 300 bikes from the Bike Share system. Visit Chattanooga’s attractions such as the Tennessee Aquarium, High Point Climbing & Fitness, Creative Discovery Museum, Hunter Museum of American Art, Lookouts baseball stadium, and Coolidge Park. Enjoy local restaurants within walking distance of the riverfront, including Big River Grille, Hennen’s, Tony’s Pasta, and the Back Inn Café.
Erwin Marine on the Riverfront manages the 2,800 linear feet of seawall for the City of Chattanooga. The marina sells fuel and gas and offers a pump-out station. An Erwin Marine dock master is available seven days a week during boating season to assist with reservations and docking.

Transient Docking Reservations: Can be made by calling the Erwin Marine office or by VHF radio at channel 16. For large waterfront events such as Riverbend, reserve in advance, but keep in mind, we don't take reservations over 90 days in advance.
Transient Docking: Available at the Bluff Floating Walkway (550’), the River Terrace Bulkhead (645’) and the Floating Dock (280’) west of the Olgiati Bridge near the marina. The ‘Commercial Dock’ located below the Pier will be reserved for commercial activities and marine officials. These facilities provide power and potable water connections.
Transient Docking Fees: $1.25/ft/night, $1.50/ft/night during holidays/events. Docking behind the Tennessee Aquarium is a minimum of $40/night (even for boats under 40 ft.). Fees are collected in advance. We offer a runabout rate of $.75/night for runabouts that don't require power. Currently, dockhands don't have portable credit card devices.
Short-Term Docking (No Overnight): Available at the Riverwalk West (280’) and Riverwalk East (250’) bulkheads at no charge. These cleats-only docking spaces are for boaters wishing to visit the Chattanooga Riverfront and downtown attractions/restaurants.
Maximum Stay: Transient docking is limited to ten consecutive nights.
Cancellation Policy: Boaters may cancel their reservations with no charge any time prior to 48 hours from check-in. Boaters are charged for one night’s stay in the event of a no-show.
Alcohol: City of Chattanooga ordinances prohibit alcohol consumption except by special permit for certain events. This ordinance includes city-owned docks and bulkheads.
Open Flame: Grilling or any other open flames are not allowed at or near docking facilities. Ross’s Landing and other waterfront areas have designated areas for grilling.
Noise: In consideration of other boaters, please limit noise along the docks and bulkheads after 11pm.
