As winter moves in, we recommend warming up with some of Chattanooga’s best holiday drinks, and we’ve gathered a list of some of our favorites. These delicious drinks will fill you with the holiday spirit and have you ready to explore all the holiday happenings across Chattanooga.

For the Ice Skater

cocktail at Gate 11

Are you thirsty after ice skating at Ice on the Landing? Walk a few steps over to Gate 11 Distillery, located inside the Chattanooga Choo Choo. Rest your feet and warm up with one of their award-winning spirits. Gate 11’s Dry Gin recently won Double Gold at the prestigious San Francisco World Spirits Competition, and their winter cocktails have won our hearts. We can’t get enough of their “Winter is Coming” daquiri. Featuring Gate 11 Rum, lime juice, house-made rosemary and honey simple syrup, and black lemon bitters, this drink is topped with a dried lime ring and rosemary sprig.

To Get You into the Holiday Spirit

Proof Bar's Attitude Adjustment cocktail

Let’s face it, sometimes the holidays can be stressful. We’ve found that Proof Incubator’s “Attitude Adjustment” helps us…well, adjust our attitude. This cocktail from Proof’s bar features bitters from local company, The Bitter Bottle, and puts us in the holiday spirit. After drinking the Attitude Adjustment, we suggest making the short walk down MLK Blvd to enjoy the EPB holiday window displays.

Fun for the Whole Family

With a name like The Hot Chocolatier, you know they have great hot chocolate! Southside’s famed chocolate shop has all sorts of artisan made chocolate, and they’re the perfect shopping spot for holiday gifts to take home. After purchasing gifts for the chocolate lovers on your list, be sure to treat yourself to some of their many hot chocolate flavors. We love the “Hottie Sipping Chocolate” for a little bit of spice.

A Taste of Chattanooga

There’s no place like Chattanooga for the holidays, and we love our local Chattanooga Whiskey. Schedule a tasting at their Experimental Distillery or drink one of the many local cocktails featuring this hometown spirit. Public House’s new cocktail, “The Local,” is one of our favorites. The drink pairs Chattanooga Whiskey with amaro, barolo chinato, fresh coffee beans, a luxardo cherry, and a flamed orange zest.
