Shop local

By Chloe Morrison
The owner of Locals Only has advice for anyone shopping in Chattanooga this holiday season.

“Shop early,” said Danielle Landrum, owner of the Frazier Avenue shop. “The retail industry is experiencing extremely high demand for goods at the same time that there are unprecedented supply chain disruptions.”

Although her store is shielded in many ways because she sources from local makers, some local businesses are facing challenges around other supply-chain issues like packaging.

“It will be important this holiday season for local makers to order their supplies early, for shoppers to give retailers a little grace and for retailers to be ready to guide customers with suggestions and substitutions,” Landrum said.

To get a jump on shopping, check out these items from five Chattanooga-area stores.
