Celebrate With The Family 

Chattanooga’s celebrations offer a variety of family-friendly options to ring in 2023 together. To make a day of it, you can “pre-game” at home by making crafts to save for later or to take with you as you explore Chattanooga’s fun events.  

Check out these family fun experiences for a memorable New Year celebration: 

The Creative Discovery Museum’s New Year’s at Noon is designed specifically for families. Kids will have a blast making festive crafts, having a dance party, and watching an epic balloon drop while sipping on an apple juice toast at Noon! 

Ice on the Landing at the Chattanooga Choo Choo is hosting a special Late Skate New Year’s Eve Party perfect for the whole family to ring in the New Year. Enjoy holiday music, skating, and a sparkling cider toast at midnight. This event requires a separate ticket from the regular skate option.  

The more daring older children who want to scream their way into the new year, check out Dread Hollow’s New Year’s Nightmare special haunt for a terrifyingly great time. Not recommended for children under 12. 

Ring in the New Year with great food, live entertainment, DJ, dancing, toasts, Pilot House tours, and more aboard the Southern Belle Riverboat’s New Year’s on the River cruise. (Ages 13+).

Take It Up A Notch 

New Year’s Eve is a special time in Chattanooga and there are lots of ways to have fun. Many of the local bars, restaurants, hotels, and venues offer smaller intimate celebrations to the biggest parties in town. Grab your friends, dress up in all the glitter, and make it a New Year’s Eve to remember! Events below are 21+ or geared more for adults.  

Here are a couple of great ways to ring in the new year in Chattanooga: 

Spend the evening downtown at The Moxy Chattanooga for an evening of festive drinks and food, games, and live entertainment. Tickets can be purchased for party or included with hotel reservations.  

Step aboard a restored 1920s dining car at the Tennessee Valley Railroad Museum for a special Dinner Train excursion that includes a four-course dining experience. Train departs from Grand Junction Station. 

New Year’s Eve events happen all throughout the city. You can celebrate and stay at several hotels; dance the night away at Regan’s or Westbound Bar; or hang out at some of Chattanooga’s coolest bars including Unknown Caller, Rosecomb, Night Pearl Tiki Bar, Wanderlinger Brewing Company, Bitter Alibi, Hi-Fi Clyde’s, Paloma Bar de Tapas, and so many more.
