WHO:
Chattanooga Sports, a division of Chattanooga Tourism Co., has partnered with Tennessee Secondary School Athletic Association (TSSAA) to host the return of the Tennessee state high school football championships, the 2023 BlueCross Bowl, for the third year.
Local teams competing in this year’s BlueCross Bowl include Baylor, Boyd Buchanan, McCallie, and South Pittsburg. A full schedule can be found here.
WHAT:
The BlueCross Bowl is the ultimate high school football event in Tennessee, bringing together 18 teams to battle for 9 state championships. Chattanooga will welcome over 22,000 athletes and fans, leaving an estimated impact exceeding $3 million in our community.
This championship continues to be a cornerstone among the many championship events held in Chattanooga, further fueling its desired reputation as Tennessee’s Title Town.

Tickets can be purchased online now at GoFan.co/TSSAA. Online early bird tickets are $12 each, covering admission to all three games on the ticket date. Tickets purchased at the gate are $15 each.

Chattanooga Sports recognizes the profound emotional impact of an athlete's defining moments and is committed to curating unforgettable state championship events, exemplified by the BlueCross Bowl’s distinctive experience high school-aged players. Upon arrival into the Scenic City, athletes are ushered into an atmosphere of support and celebration with welcome gifts, a police escort to the field, and the rare opportunity to compete at Finley Stadium, home to the Chattanooga Mocs Football and the Chattanooga Football Club.

Dr. Pepper Fansville, housed in the First Horizon Pavilion, provides fans with a space to connect with local vendors and celebrate their teams. Fans will be immersed in a dynamic atmosphere, featuring a lively array of food trucks, merchandise booths, Blue Zone games and activities, a dedicated tailgate area, and the pulsating beats of local DJs. Adding to this year’s excitement is the addition of Ice on the Landing, a classic winter tradition for all ages.
