Mexican and Latin American Food in Chattanooga

If it’s tacos you’re after (and an ice-cold margarita to wash them down), you’re in luck.

No matter what part of town you’re in, chances are you’re not far from some great Mexican food.

In the Southside, you’ll want to hit up Taqueria Jaliso Ania for Mexican classics in a gorgeous, beachy setting (this one’s Instagram worthy!) They’ve also got a location in Miller Plaza for some grab-and-go tacos to enjoy across the street in Miller Park.

Taco Mamacita is a family-friendly favorite for tex-mex fare and creative takes on tacos, or just up the road, you’ve got Taconooga, another local fav.

A bit hidden, even more fantastic tacos can actually be found in the back of the grocery store Carnerceria Loa #7, or you’ve got La Altena right next store (with frozen margaritas to boot!)

Mezcla and Citron et Sel are both good bets for a date night.

You’ll also want to hit up Conga (Salvadorian) for their tostones, pupusas, and location right in the heart of the Southside. For even more pupusas, Pupuseria Marelyn (Salvadorian/Guatemalan) is the place to go.
