Some of the best soul food (try the pinto beans) is had at Davis Wayne’s. You’ll also find plenty of soul (in the form of hot fried fish) at places like Uncle Larry’s on MLK Boulevard. East Chattanooga is a mecca for soul food … like Meca’s (for example) and Lois’s Restaurant.
