Today, TSSAA announced Chattanooga as the host community for the 2021 and 2022 state football championships also known as the BlueCross Bowl.

“We were successful because multiple private and public partners came together as one community to win this bid,” said Tim Morgan, Chief Sports Officer of Chattanooga Sports, a division of Chattanooga Tourism Co. “We will continue to work together throughout the planning process to create that championship experience we committed to TSSAA, their athletes and event spectators.”

Chattanooga Sports plans to work with its community partners to create an environment that will leave a lasting positive experience for all participating athletes and their families. The event will bring hundreds of athletes from across Tennessee to Chattanooga for the championship this fall and in 2022. It’s expected to generate around $2-3 million in economic impact to Hamilton County.
