In Chattanooga, we’ve got the reputation of being aggressively welcoming. And that “welcome to Chattanooga” is extended to everyone—no matter your faith, nationality, sexual orientation, or gender. With our beautiful scenic views, variety of live music and restaurants, you’re sure to find the experience suited to your taste. In honor of Pride Month, we spoke to our local friends from the LGBTQ+ community about the places they love and the culinary experiences they enjoy in Chattanooga all year round.

Alleia—the food, service, and atmosphere are all outstanding.

What’s your favorite meal, appetizer or snack there?

The Grilled Romaine Salad and for an entrée, the Duck Breast.

Where do you listen to live music?

Songbirds for the variety of music.

Who is your favorite artist or band to listen to?

I enjoy all genres of music. The lyrics are modern-day poetry telling a deep, emotional story. I find it easy to lose myself in the music if I just listen with an open mind.

Riverbend, a long weekend of music and celebrations covering all genres.

Davis Wayne's has live music Thursday, Friday and Saturday. We do an artist-in-residency program and each of our performers play for a minimum of 1 year.

Thursday night features JV Smith, a musical virtuoso who plays bass, lead, rhythm, acoustic guitar and sings. Fridays are filled with the sweet and mellow sounds of Joshua Allen playing alto saxophone. Saturday's showcase is DL Yancy playing acoustic guitar and singing, to round out a wonderful weekend.
