TENNESSEE AQUARIUM’S AQUASCARIUM  

Oct. 28 I 4-8 pm  

Come in costume and join in on a family-friendly celebration of all things scaly, spooky, and fun on Friday, October 28 at the Tennessee Aquarium. Visitors can enjoy lights, themed decorations, costumed divers, candy and more! 

BESSIE'S HALLOWEEN BASH

Oct. 29 I 12pm - 5pm

The Bessie Smith Cultural Center will be hosting Bessie’s Halloween Bash on the lawn of the Bessie. This event is completely FREE. Wear your Halloween costume and Trick or Treat around our lawn with local nonprofit and community organizations! Bring your lawn chairs and enjoy live music and a DJ on the Blue Cross Blue Shield of Tennessee Stage on our Terrace! “Touch a Truck” and meet Chattanooga and Hamilton County personnel who protect, serve, and maintain our community. Kids will have the opportunity to explore emergency vehicles as well as large trucks that help to maintain our community.

BRUISER BOO BASH

Oct. 29 I 2-5pm

For families and friends in the Chattanooga community, Bruiser Boo Bash is an afternoon of fall fun and festivities, including carnival games, crafts, inflatables, contest giveaways, sweet treats, and more! The event is perfect for families with children in preschool through fourth grade. Kids are encouraged to wear costumes. Saturday football viewing will be available (so no need to worry about missing the big game)!

MONSTER MASH BASH AT BODE HOTEL

Oct. 29 I 7pm – 10:30pm

Celebrate spooky season with Bode! Come dance the night away, win costume prizes, and have fun drinks and snacks!

SONGBIRDS HALLOWEEN SMASH

Oct. 29 I 6pm

Ready for a smashing good time! Start planning your most frightfully festive costumes now and buy your tickets for the Songbirds Halloween Smash! This special Halloween fundraiser hosted by the Songbirds Guitar & Pop Culture Museum will feature: live music, live painting, special pre-recorded Q&A video, silent auction, as well as movie props donated by Greg Nicotero, and prizes for the winners of the Songbirds Halloween Smash Costume Contest. All proceeds benefit the Guitars for Kids program, which provides free guitars, lessons, and music therapy to kids all over the south.

Trunk-or-Treat

Oct. 29 I 6pm - 8pm

Ready for a fun-filled, family oriented, community event? So are we! Good Shepherd Lutheran Church is hosting a Trunk-or-Treat event has seen up to 700 kids from our surrounding community show up with their families and have a blast each year. This year will be no different! There will be all sorts of games, costumes, themed trunks, and of course — CANDY!

PHANTOM FEELING

Oct. 29 I 8:30pm - 12am

The Platinum Angel & DJ Blindian present Phantom Feeling; a Halloween variety show event! There'll be music, vendors, games, entertainment and a costume contest! We're taking over the Honest Pint on October 29th, doors open at 8:30pm with a $10 cover! Get ready for chills, thrills and a good time to connect with friends and the community! +21 & Up event

WITCH & WARLOCK PADDLE

Oct. 29 I 2pm - 5:30pm

Come out for a spooktacular paddle adventure on Halloween weekend with River City Company and Outshine Adventures! Gather your coven and call all of your witch, warlock, and wizard friends for a ghoulish good time paddling down the Tennessee River. The paddle event is open to kayaks, canoes and stand up paddleboards as we take over the Tennessee River dressed as witches, warlocks, and wizards.

HAUTE HALLOWEEN WITH JENNA DEVRIES AT COOSA MILLS

The Pop-Up Project invites you to dress in your most extravagant costume for an unforgettable Halloween under the stars in the Coosa courtyard - doubling as the official release event for the latest album by pop-diva sensation Jenna DeVries from American Idol!  

HAUNTED CHATTANOOGA MARKET  

Oct. 30 I 11 am-4 pm  

Named one of the “Top 10 Public Markets in America” by Frommers, Chattanooga Market features over 50 farms bringing a variety of produce, meats and cheeses to the market each week, and over 130 artisans offering their unique crafts, arts, farm-fresh goods, and so many other locally made specialties. When the market turns haunted, bring your little ghosts and goblins for our annual Haunted Market. Kids can trick-or-treat and be part of our costume parade at the Lodge Cast Iron Sizzle stage at 1pm! 

ESCAPE MISSION

One mission, one hour, one goal! Escape Mission is located in the North Shore neighborhood by Coolidge Park and is the perfect experience to get your mind racing. Solve puzzles and cipher clues to take down a notorious mob boss in the Speakeasy, escape the clutches of a killer in the Hunted, find a pirate’s treasure in Expedition: Lost Treasure!, and more.  Do you have what it takes to complete your mission?  

CHATTANOOGA GHOST TOURS

Named one of the “Top 10 Ghost Tours in the U.S.” by TripAdvisor and USA Today, Chattanooga Ghost Tours takes you on a chilling adventure to the city’s most haunted spots. Be prepared to open Pandora’s Box of apparitions and hear stories of the city’s restless dead during the Murder & Mayhem Tour. Special ghost hunt tours use the SLS Ghost Viewer, Ovilus X, and the new Poltercom. Don't forget to bring your camera as ghost orbs, mists & even fully formed figures occasionally appear in photos at some sites on the tour. Kids are welcome at parents' own discretion. Reservations strongly recommended. TIME TO ESCAPE

The only escape room adventure located in vibrant downtown Chattanooga, Time to Escape offers four different innovative and realistic escape room experiences. Race against time to dodge Sabotage! Chattanooga 144, rescue your team’s mascot from the Locker Room Lock-Down, stop the evil Dr. Von Gobbler in a Cold War era spy-themed room, Secret Agent!, and more. This is an escape you won’t soon forget!  

TENNESSEE AQUARIUM’S ODDTOBER: WHEN NATURE IS STRANGER THAN FICTION 

October 1-31 I Times Vary  

Things get wonderfully weird around the Tennessee Aquarium during ODDtober – a month-long celebration of strange creatures from around the world and in our own backyard. Learn odd facts about animals throughout both Aquarium buildings and look for fun fall touches inside our exhibits. See pumpkins flicker with an eerie glow, flashing along with the pulses of an Electric Eel. Find out why some “scary” species are not-so-creepy after all. At the end of your tour, grab a free sticker in the gift shop when you mention “ODDtober” (while supplies last).

DREAD HOLLOW

Discover why a scream-filled trip through award-winning Dread Hollow is a fall Chattanooga tradition! The 2022 fall fright season unleashes three all-new terrifying haunted houses and three mind-bending horror themed escape rooms at Chattanooga’s only national ranked haunted attraction. Dread Hollow is not recommended for children under the age of 12.

RUBY FALLS’S LANTERN TOUR: GHOST WALK EDITION/RUBY FALLS

Hear ghostly tales from Ruby Falls’ 94-year history and eerie Chattanooga legends as you journey through the cavern lit only by hand-held lanterns. Join Ghost City Tours and dig deep into Chattanooga’s history and learn how the Civil War played a huge part in the city’s historical hauntings. Tours explore some of the most haunted locations in Chattanooga including the Read House Hotel and underground Chattanooga, centuries of curses, hidden supernatural history, and share horror stories that will make your skin crawl!

When Chattanooga transforms itself to ChattaBOOga! in October, it’s not the typical haunted city. Only for the bravest of souls, there’s an intense haunted cavern crawling with terrifying creatures; menacing woods and a dark swamp teeming with monsters; and chilling ghost hunts in search of the city’s restless dead. For more mild experiences, families can enjoy 10-acre enchanted MAiZE; superhero divers carving pumpkins underwater; spooky rides aboard a haunted vintage train; trick-or-treating around zoo animals; and frightening fun on haunted amusement park rides.
