Tapas in Chattanooga

The best thing about tapas — small bites that pack a big punch — should be obvious. You get to eat more food. And isn’t there something just so romantic about a glass of wine, sharing a plate of food and dessert? Ooh la la! Leave the kids at home.

Chattanooga’s tapas scene might be small (no pun intended) but that makes it special. The sky-high Paloma Tapas & Bar offers stunning views, delicious cocktails, and small bites that are unlike anything you’ll find in the Scenic City. You’ll also find plenty to do in the hip West Village neighborhood on the street below.

Another underrated small-plate restaurant is The Social (inside Public House Restaurant). Their nightly selection of small plates — we recommend the pot roast nachos and smoked trout dip — is just one reason to visit. A huge selection of craft whiskey and the earliest happy hour in town (2-6 p.m., M-F) makes The Social a great place to visit.
